Eastern Pacific Cyclone Outlook

Tropical Cyclone Outlook
Hurricane Network New York NY
800 PM EDT Fri Sep 27 2019

For the Eastern Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A large area of thunderstorms is associated with a broad area of
low pressure located a couple hundred miles off the coast of
Acapulco, Mexico. Satellite data indicate the system still lacks a
well-defined center and is not yet a tropical cyclone. Environmental
conditions however remain marginally favorable for tropical
development and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected
to form in the next day or so. Interests along the coast of Mexico
should monitor the progress of this system, tropical storm watches
could be required on Saturday. Regardless of development, heavy
rainfall will create life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides
along the southern coast of Mexico through the weekend.

* Chance of tropical development in 48 hours, high, 90 percent.
* Chance of tropical development in 5 days, high, near 100 percent.
