Tropical Depression ONE-E – Forecast Discussion
EP012020 02 TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE-E FORECAST DISCUSSION 2 THE HURRICANE NETWORK NEW YORK NY 200 PM PDT SAT APR 25 2020 There has been little change in the organization of the depression since the previous special advisory earlier today. Satellite imagery shows dry air is beginning to erode the center of circulation of the depression and there is a void of thunderstorms near the center. The intensity was conservatively estimated at 30 kt. There is a low chance of the depression becoming a tropical storm later tonight before weakening begins as the depression moves over cooler SSTs with increasing vertical shear. The cyclone is forecast to become a remnant low by Sunday night and then dissipate by Monday afternoon. The general motion continues to be northwest at 7 mph, this track will change to a more westward motion tomorrow. The depression is expected to move westward through dissipation on day 3.
