Interests along the U.S. East Coast should monitor the progress of
Florence.

48-HOUR OUTLOOK

The center of Tropical Storm Florence was located at 24.6 north and
55.2 west and moving slowly westward at 6 mph. A turn towards the
west-northwest and an increase in forward motion is expected to
begin Sunday. On the forecast track, Florence will continue to move
through the Atlantic and approach the U.S. Eastern Coast on
Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph with higher gusts. Florence
is expected to become a hurricane overnight or at any moment now and
then rapidly intensify beginning Sunday afternoon. Florence is
forecast to be a major hurricane on Monday.

The central pressure was estimated at 989 mb.
